The Hotel Bahia Palace is located in the beautiful S. Miguel island in the Azores archipelago, in a hillside close to Baia d’Alto, in Vila Franca do Campo, at about 3 km from this town and only 19 km from the capital, Ponta Delgada.

The weather in the archipelago is very mild and has a maritime tone to it. There aren’t meaningful changes in temperature throughtout the year. It reaches medium values of 13ºC (55ºF) in winter and 23ºC (73ºF) in summer. The sea temperature is also very stable, going from 17ºC and 24ºC.

São Miguel is also called “Green Island” due to its pasture fields and its massive forest sites. It’s the biggest and more populous island of the whole archipelago.
It’s part of the oriental group and its weather is mild, with medium values of 16ºC in spring, 21ºC in summer, 18ºC in autumn and 14ºC in winter.

“A Paradise in the Atlantic Ocean” or “Live Nature” are a few of the slogans used to promote the Azores, which are blessed with a beautiful landscape and a rich fauna.
